The ASSET&W management decided to support a special project catering to the needs of a deaf children. The aim of special project was to raise the awareness among the urban and rural masses about the hardship’s persons with special need face and how providing life skill and livelihood-based training to the deaf children to increase their self-confidence and ability to compete with the able-bodied persons.

a)- 12 Cornerstone Training for Noida Deaf Society Students: The 12 Cornerstone training was customized based on the special needs of the deaf children, after rounds of discussion with the Noida Deaf Society team. Through the project our team got to know that deaf children have a very little attention span, and they do not understand the sentences and words the way normal people do.

25 students/trainees actively participated in all the activities and the training ended with a promise from the trainee group that they will not only keep the cornerstones values in their heart and practices, but also disseminate the love and warmth among their family members and peer group.

b)- Scholarship Support to Deaf Children: A scholarship support event was conducted in the campus of Noida Deaf Society (NDS). Through this event financial support was given to 3 poor and marginalized deaf children who study in Noida Deaf Society. Besides, in-kind support was provided to them to meet their boarding/stay fee for 6 months.

ASSET&W support the NDS with teaching materials such as writing board, markers, and papers for the schools to use it during teaching the children. The NDS founder cum Secretary Ms. Ruma Roka expressed her gratitude to ASSET&W management for the financial and technical support given to the students and school.
