About Us
Adharshila for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation & Welfare (ASSET & W) is a not-for-profit organization established in India as the national brand sharing Cooperating Affiliate of Heifer International.
ASSET & W partners with institutions and stakeholders at every level to strengthen the ecosystem that fosters scaling of community-based enterprises and generates sustainable and equitable return to the producers and small holder farmers. We aim to achieve our vision of ending hunger and poverty through improving income and assets, enhancing nutrition and food security and protecting the environment while strengthening social capital and women empowerment in the community.

PROJECTS: OVERVIEW
ASSET & W’s programmatic focus is inspired by Heifer International’s approach of alleviating poverty and hunger by creating financial resilience in the rural communities we work with. This is achieved through various interventions that include Livestock Based Sustainable Livelihood projects, backyard poultry, kitchen gardens, Integrated Farming Systems and natural farming, among others. This not only helps bring them out of poverty and vulnerability but also enables them to build strong social capital at the community level.
